U.S. Navy Distributing Food in Haiti
On September 28th, the HSV-2 SWIFT naval ship docked in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. It was filled with Kids Against Hunger's meals and other supplies and Children's International Lifeline, (one of our main feeding partners in Haiti) received the largest shipment of food and supplies. Donald Curtis, Children's International Lifeline's Director, called the arrival of the ship "a tremendous blessing to so many children."
He was also told by the military that "this deployment held the largest amount of aid in the history of the HSV-2 SWIFT. What a blessing it was to join hands with the U.S. Military to help provide food and help for the people of Haiti and to be a part of them making history for humanitarian aid."
